Ashley Roe joined the Access Control & Security Systems and Government Security staff in July 2006. Previously, she worked as the education and crime reporter for The Griffin Daily News in Griffin, Ga. Before moving to Atlanta, she was employed by Media General, working as a general assignment reporter for The Army Flier, an Army base newspaper covering Fort Rucker, Ala. Ashley has written stories covering a range of topics including military training, lifestyle and deployment as well as education and crime issues. She earned her B.A. in English from the University of Florida.

Stephanie Silk joined the Access Control & Security Systems and Government Security staff in April 2007. She graduated from Auburn University in December 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. During her time at Auburn, she was assistant online editor of the school paper, The Plainsman, and worked for Auburn’s Alumni Association, where she wrote for many colleges within the university. In the fall of 2006, she completed a six-month internship with Health magazine in Birmingham, Ala., in which she wrote about women’s health and lifestyle.
