DHS Launches Ready Business

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has launched Ready Business, an extension of DHS' successful Ready Web site, which has helped millions of individuals and families prepare for emergencies.
Ready Business focuses on business preparedness, and will help owners and managers of small to medium-sized businesses prepare their employees, operations and assets in the event of an emergency.
“The terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 and recent hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan showed that disastrous events can paralyze business operations,” said Tom Ridge, Secretary of Homeland Security.
The Ready Business Web site (Ready.gov) provides businesses with practical steps and easy-to-use templates to help companies stay in business in emergencies, talk to employees and protect their investments.
