ID Verification Terminal

The handheld device verifies passports, visas, driver's licenses and national ID cards by reading 2-D barcodes, OCR-B, and contact and contactless chips found on the identification documents. It supports an evolving list of ID document standards and applications, including Border Crossing Card, US-VISIT and Common Access Card. The 2-lb. unit includes a 600-dpi scanner for full-page passport imaging and a 508-dpi capacitive fingerprint sensor for instant verification of biometric passports. Its large color digital touchscreen display is readable in direct sunlight and low-light conditions. A high-capacity, rechargeable lithium polymer battery provides a runtime of more than 13 hours. Non-travel applications include mobile identity and credential verification for corrections, law enforcement and emergency responders; access control for manned ID verification at entry points, gates and other remote access areas; and instant ID verification in mission-critical situations such as military base security. Network Visibility Software

The upgraded software enables government agencies and other large organizations to quickly create a visual representation of all assets on the network, in addition to mapping the connectivity among those assets. The new software version also has the ability to discover IPv6-enabled routing devices connected to the network. According to supplier representatives, this capability will provide proof that all appropriate systems have been transitioned to IPv6 in compliance with the federal government's transition mandates. Using the platform, IT and information security personnel can quickly discover critical network information, including managed and unmanaged assets, which helps them understand their network environment and assess risk levels. The software creates an executive scorecard that quantifies network risk. A high score indicates a greater risk in network availability, security and compliance. The software can also integrate asset management and security information management systems through public APIs. IPsonar 4.1, Lumeta Corp. Intrusion Detectors

The intrusion detector series includes two new models that feature multi-point anti-mask technology with integrated spray detection. The new technology uses patented prism lenses and active infrared detection to protect against all known forms of attack. The detectors are compliant with the latest worldwide regulatory standards for the detection of objects covering or placed in front of the detector. The units are sensitive to various materials, regardless of texture or color, including fabric, paper, metal, plastic, tape and spray. All detectors in the series offer the supplier's Sensor Data Fusion technology, which interactively processes data from up to six sensors. With the supplier's Tri-Focus Optics technology, three custom-engineered lenses provide two times the signal-to-noise ratio, producing sharper, brighter images that make it easier for detectors to distinguish intruders from false alarm sources. Biometric Flash Drive

The flash drive uses a 500-dpi biometric sensor that recognizes up to 10 fingerprints or thumbprints and 256-bit AES data encryption. Only after an authorized fingerprint is confirmed and the correct password is entered can a user access the confidential information stored on the drive. The device includes a user-friendly setup wizard that walks the user through the fingerprint scanning process and can be used with most Windows platforms. The flash drive was recently added to the FIPS 140-2 Pre-Validation list. Kanguru Bio AES, Kanguru Solutions (kanguru.com) Circle No. 23 or visit govtsecurity.com/productinfo.

Chemical Agent Detection Spray

The highly sensitive, enzyme-based spray changes color when sprayed on surfaces contaminated with nerve agents. It is used as a precursor to decontamination, saving time by pinpointing the exact location of agents during the decontamination process. Nerve agents, including microgram (trace) levels, can be identified within five minutes, eliminating time-consuming laboratory analysis. Post-decontamination, the spray helps ensure that affected areas have been thoroughly cleaned.
