HID¹s Fargo High Definition Printer/Encoder

HID Global¹s Fargo HDP5000 printer/encoder uses High Definition Printing technology and is field- or factory-upgradeable with a dual-sided printing and/or dual-sided lamination option. Installable encoding modules are also available for magnetic stripes and ISO 7816, Mifare, DESfire and iCLASS contact and contactless smart card chips as well as HID proximity cards. The printer includes an onboard Ethernet port and print server for connectivity in network operations. The printer was chosen by the U.S. Department of Defense for its Common Access Card project.
